In this episode, Alice talks to Simon Costin.

Simon is the director of two museums: The Museum of Witchcraft and Magic and The Museum of British Folklore. He is also a curator and designer, with an astounding number of high-profile collaborations within the fashion industry to his name. He is also, as he discusses in our conversation, a “relentlessly" upbeat individual.
Topics discussed include…

  • Growing up as a creative person
  • The support network that allows him to work freely and with helpful boundaries
  • The connection between magic and creativity
  • The privilege of beginning an artistic career in a time when squatting (i.e.occupying empty houses) in London was relatively commonplace
  • Creating your own luck.

To find out more about Simon, you can follow him on Instagram, @simon_costin. You can find out about the Museum of Witchcraft and Magic at museumofwitchcraftandmagic.com, and the Museum of British Folklore at museumofbritishfolklore.com.
