In today's society, there is often a debate between the rule of law and excessive punishment. Violent crimes and the physical safety of our citizens will always be the priority. But when law enforcement and prosecutors see trends that financial crimes are linked to more serious crimes, should we be doing more?

Today, Mike and Mark welcome retired San Diego Prosecutor Paul Greenwood back to the podcast to address these very issues. In an era where we are seeing the lessening of non-violent crime sentences and consequences and offering no cash bail to non-violent criminal offenses, are we encouraging more to head down the wrong path? Is there a link between financial crimes and violent crimes? We'll let you decide.
