Inspired by the WBAY interview today, Nic and Elliot have a brief discussion about online safety for kids. For parental controls at home, check out the NETGEAR Nighthawk or other higher-end Wi-Fi Routers. iOS Parental Control services like NetSanity can be helpful too - though they come with recurring charges. Finally, take advantage of the iOS Parental Controls built-in on iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch devices. These are found in Settings->General->Restrictions. There are tons of settings, but particularly you want to make certain to disable In-App Purchases and Installing Apps. Then, you also want to make certain to check out your child's friends list from time to time in different social, communication, and chat apps.
