Becoming a Doctor is unlike any other career. When you dedicate your life to medicine it’s years of study, gruelling hours, limited appreciation and a lot of tragedy. There is an expectation placed on you by society that you serve others and must continue to do so for the rest of your life. We hold Doctors to an exceptionally high standard and respect everything they do. So what would make someone walk away from it all?

This week I’m chatting with Dr Meagan Kruger, a former medical doctor who despite the stigma that surrounds the decision to quit medicine, left her busy hospital career to lean in to the things that truly fulfilled her.

Meagan and I discuss this pivotal moment in her life, the events that led to her decision and how this has changed her outlook on life. If you would like to know more about Meagan you can follow her on Facebook or Instagram, you can check out Meagan’s website and you can read more at www.ifonlyyouknewpodcast.com.au
