We are back in the courtroom for today’s episode of iGaming Daily, supported by Optimove to delve into MGM’s ongoing multi-court battle with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) where MGM alleges that the regulatory oversight group refused to grant its petition to quash an FTC investigation into the company’s 2023 cybersecurity incident.

Jessica Welman, Editor of SBC Americas, is joined by SBC’s Media Manager, Charlie Horner, to discuss why MGM is fighting the FTC investigation into the incident, what the FTC’s response has been and why there are two court cases in two different courts.

In the second half of the show, attention turns to Ohio where regulators have submitted changes to how operators can offer promotions and bonuses. The pair run through what the proposed changes are and why Fanatics may be to blame for the shake-up.
