  1. DeSantis unveils an aggressive immigration and border security policy that largely mirrors Trump’s
    1. This is a thing people care about. We live in a democracy
    2. The rhetoric is scary, but this is the result for a lot of people of policies that bring a lot of people in, and generally negatively affecting poorer areas rather than the rich
      1. Often the “woke” take a moral high ground
  2. Israeli soldier killed in settlement attack; gunman shot dead
    1. Escalation of violence
    2. When people are killed it’s natural to expect a response
    3. Violence begets more violence
    4. Look at this CHILD
  3. Israel to buy new fleet of F-35 fighter jets financed by US aid
    1. Healthcare pls
    2. Fix student debt
      1. I don’t believe in student debt forgiveness, but ONLY because it’s unjust and doesn’t solve the unreform and that this is bad for our economy as a whole
  4. China’s export curbs a ‘warning’ to US, state media says
    1. I harp on this all the time. We are no longer in a position to exercise power like we are
    2. Trump worked with dictators, was criticized, but we was acting in foreign policy closer to current relative power, while the uniparty acts as if we are as strong relative to the rest of the world as we were in the 90s
    3. The state run company is euphemising a “warning”, they are biased too, but they do have a point.

1.Judge limits Biden administration contact with social media firms
They did some shady stuff, we all know it. Idk why some people deny

1. Supreme Court says 1st Amendment entitles web designer to refuse same-sex wedding work
It is not a right for other people to do business with you

1. What the Supreme Court's rejection of student loan relief means for borrowers
Most of us on the other side are disillusioned constantly

1. REI fostered a progressive reputation. Then its workers began to unionize
Stop getting jobs based on values
Companies make money. Those are their values
They’re “progressive”. That means lip service to racially based issues, and unfettered calculated capitalism underlying behind a thin veil
If the employees were treated well enough, there wouldn’t be enough support for unionization

1. A revered and powerful female leader revealed by new method to determine sex of old bones
Archaeology and Anthropology are not real science
Everything is so affected by our own perceptions of the world
Just as biases of the past would dismiss evidence of women warriors, which do exist, biases today try to create narratives that may not be true
Physical evidence alone is never enough to make a good argument without other evidence from that society
