What personal growth must one experience to become an intentional leader focused on developing their people? Jesse Hernandez underwent a transformative personal journey in the construction industry before arriving at this question himself.

Beginning as a plumbing apprentice, Jesse realised the worksite was a better fit than college. Despite successfully executing projects, he found that people did not want to work with him. Struggling with isolation as he tried to do everything alone, several life events forced Jesse to acknowledge his need for help and prioritise self-care.

Jesse now works as a consultant helping organisations improve culture through leadership coaching and lean principles. He emphasises the importance of redesigning systems to better serve people and addressing one's own changes before expecting environmental shifts.
