What a treat for us, having musician/composer/pioneer Manuel Göttsching up to dublab soon after his first ever performance in Los Angeles. We totally geeked out about analog electronics, his forward-thinking uses of them in the legendary German experimental rock group Ashra Tempel in the 70’s, his experiences creating the E2-E4 piece in the early 80’s (which became a monumental inspiration in the development of late 80’s/early 90’s house music in the U.S.), the cryptic Cosmic Jokers project and so much more. He hasn’t stopped working either, moving into sound installations and film soundtracks. We knew he was a heavy dude but sheesh…
