The 2024 Women's Rodeo World Championship finals week has concluded and what a whirlwind! Linsay Roster Sumpter and Sami Jo Smith sit down with our host Jordan Jo Hollabaugh to dive into all things Women's Rodeo and give us a recap of the last two weeks. Over the course of the week the top 20 in the points standings in both the Challenger and Pro rankings were whittled down to just the top 3 in the roping events and 12 in the barrel racing. For the first time ever the final round of the WRWC event was held in conjunction with the PBR finals in AT&T Stadium , where 30,000 fans watched the women compete for their shot at $60,000!
WRWC has paid out approximately $3.75 million dollars in just 5 short years to female rodeo athletes, and they aren't slowing down anytime soon! To learn more about the Women's Rodeo World Championship, competitor classifications and how to nominate and earn points visit https://wrwc.rodeo/.

    • In an effort to create more opportunities for all women rodeo athletes, the Women’s Rodeo World Championship (WRWC) has launched a tiering system based on earnings and rankings in the respective disciplines at the WRWC. This tiering system will level the playing field by dividing the pro and challenger athletes into their respective pools in the 2022 WRWC qualifying rounds and give each group a direct path to compete at center stage.
  • Why should I compete in the Women’s Rodeo World Championship?
    • The world championship event is open to any biological female athlete over the age of 13 years old competing in breakaway roping, barrel racing, and/or team roping. The WRWC is a culmination of a year-long race of women’s rodeo events held worldwide. Athletes qualify for the WRWC by earning points and leaderboard positions using the VRQ (Virtual Rodeo Qualifier) or through select Qualifier Series events.
