Today we are diving into Justin De Witt’s Castle Panic. So here’s the deal: we’ve got a castle sitting in the middle of the board, surrounded by forests filled with orcs, trolls, and goblins that all woke up this morning and chose violence. It’s like Lord of the Rings, except there’s no Gandalf coming to save us at dawn—just the two of us stand at the castle’s defence praying we don’t watch our walls come crashing down faster than the reputation of House Targaryen.
So, can we incorporate roleplay in to this tabletop classic and hold off the horde and save the day, or will we end up surrounded by the ruins of our shattered castle.
