Sorry for the delay, Influenca-heads! This week, we have the fantastic Jes Tom! (Twitter: @jestom/IG: @jesthekid). They are one of my favorite comics in New York, and we had a wonderful conversation about maintaining the confidence of a young rapper (“Keep It Real”), the personal revelation of Mulan as a trans Asian-American narrative (“Reflection”), the reversal of pretending to be someone you’re not (“Your Best American Girl”), and rage/sadness as pop (“E*Mo*Tion”).
