Stop comparing your behind-the-scenes life to other people’s highlight reels. The biggest source of unhappiness is this constant comparison between your worst moments and someone else’s best moments. It is healthy to compare yourself to some degree because it gives you a measure of your progress and a sense of direction. However, too often do we mistake the media on different social platforms as reality. If you base the measure of your success on these celebrities’ highlight reels, you’ll always feels incomplete. The facts is, we all have our ups and downs. You just don’t see people sharing their downs and their struggle on social media as much.
