Dr Beatriz Chadour-Sampson selects six fascinating pieces from her renowned jewellery scholarship and extraordinary family history to put into her fantasy jewel vault, ultimately choosing that one special treasure to keep safe forever.

Guest Bio: Dr Beatriz Chadour-Sampson is a polymath of jewellery scholarship: a curator, lecturer, writer and historian with a breadth of jewellery knowledge that spans the whole of human history. Beatriz’s cosmopolitan childhood was spent moving with her father’s successful jewellery business: born in Cuba, she moved to New York and all across Europe from Germany to Spain as a child, before marrying and and settling in England.

She is a prolific writer on a broad range of specialist topics from antiquity to the C21 Beatriz is specifically known for her curatorship and her long consultancy with the unique Alice & Louis Koch collection of historic and contemporary rings at the Swiss National Museum in Zurich, she was consultant curator in the redesign of the William & Judith Bollinger Jewellery Gallery at the Victoria & Albert Museum London, and guest curator of the stunning Pearls exhibitions in 2013-14.
