Today we’re chatting with Ashley Clauer. Ashley is a native Austinite, and the founder of Wanderlust Yoga, here in downtown Austin. Wanderlust Yoga is an eclectic, unique yoga studio with live music, deejays, curated playlists, and all kinds of classes, from Hot Yoga to Weight Yoga. Wanderlust Yoga is definitely a unique Austin business that we can all be proud of.

Ashley also shares an experience that is just now coming out; the story of how, as a sophomore at ASU in Phoenix, she was brutally assaulted by a nighttime intruder. She survived the attack, and yoga became her path to healing. The intruder has finally been caught by DNA match, and has been sentenced to 138 years in prison. As a result of finally having some closure, Ashley has launched a new program called Rising Voices.

When you listen to Ashley you can hear her smile and feel the hope and positivity she brings to everything she does. It’s hard to imagine that she has gone through such a dark time. Ashley’s story is very inspiring and I hope you’ll listen, check out the studio and join Rising Voices if it’s for you.
