Ryan "Birdman" Parrott served eight years as a US Navy SEAL, completing three combat tours in Iraq, authored the book, "Sons of the Flag," is Founder and CEO of Sons of the Flag, a charity that raises money for severe burn victims, and is the heart and soul behind the Birds Eye View Project, which uses extreme sports to connect people to the extreme needs of veterans and first responders. Ryan talks about how he and members of his team survived an IED blast in Iraq (and how it compared to riding a bull), the genesis of his nickname, "Birdman," BASE jumping, wing suit flying, his preparation leading up to "Operation Miracle Jump," what his wife, family and friends think about his death-defying exploits, and when he plans to permanently retire from extreme sports.
