In this episode of Inspiring Viking Values we interviewed Mr. Michael Antonelli, the principal of Charlotte Sidway Elementary School in Grand Island NY. Mr. Antonelli shared information about their amazing academic intervention services available to our students. Mike had some special guests join the podcast. The first guest was Ms. Selina Iozzo. Selina is a Math Academic Intervention Specialist at Sidway. Our next guest is Alicia Szprowski. Alicia is a special education teacher who also has a Masters degree in Literacy and she provides academic support in the area of reading. Joanne Johnson also joined the podcast. Joanne is a reading teacher who provides direct instruction for children who are growing as readers. Additionally, first grade student, McKenna Gallagher joined us as well. McKenna shared information about her journey as a reader and writer. One more thing...I would like to thank Mrs. Mernitz and her students for singing the Grand Island Alma Mater.
