For 14 years, Geeta "Blackbird" Bakshi deployed into Afghanistan as a CIA officer in the agency's clandestine Directorate of Operations. Today, she runs Famil (www.familusa.org), a not-for-profit helping Afghan combat veterans resettle in the US.
We sat down in Washington DC to discuss Geeta's career at the CIA, the withdrawal, and the challenges facing Afghan veterans and the US in the wake of the Taliban takeover.
