In Episode 5 of Intersections, Matt Wagner interviews Eric Marcus, a communications expert whose work has ranged from writing consumer-oriented books and developing promotional and informational materials for non-profit and commercial enterprises to production jobs for both documentaries and television network news, including ABC's "Good Morning America" and "CBS This Morning." Eric is the author of "Making Gay History: The Half Century Fight for Lesbian and Gay Equal Rights" (https://www.amazon.com/Making-Gay-History-Century-Lesbian/dp/0060933917), and more recently, the eponymous podcast which brings the voices of queer history to life through intimate conversations with LGBTQ champions, heroes, and witnesses to history, available on iTunes and other podcast platforms (http://makinggayhistory.com/). In this episode, we talk with Eric about his passion for oral history, which stories stood out the most to him, and the differences in gay culture then and now, among other topics.
