Yes, I’ve always used mentors to guide me along the way. I’ve made a lot of mistakes along the way by picking the wrong people to emulate and follow. You have to be very, very selective. Study not what they do in not just one part of their life but all parts of their lives. Pick the right mentors and people around you. Don’t be satisfied with a piece of life, have it all.

I like to be in charge of the selling, then I can be in charge of the outcome of the situation.

What does 10X your business mean? The guy who wants to be a champion at tennis does ten hours, not one. Get obsessed, become completely consumed with the concept. Lebron James slept with a basketball, woke up with a basketball, went to sleep with a basketball, had lunch with the basketball. He felt every little divot, dimple, everything you can touch on that ball he’s gonna know about. Same thing with business people.

When you have information and you’re not certain, it takes longer to do and you’re not confident. Success moves to certainty, money moves to certainty and winning moves to certainty!

Grant, could you compare traditional schooling vs. specific events? I know you’ve tried both, as have I, what are your thoughts?

Well, I like speed and efficiency so for me to pay $7,000 to go to an event that’s 2 days vs. $47,000 to an event that’s going to last a year or two or three. It’s a no-brainer to me! The problem with going to college or university is, who you gonna be connected with? Unless you go to some of the best colleges in the world, it’s going to be a long process.

What does it mean to Invest In You, Grant?

Investing in myself is the most important investment I can make. It’s a guaranteed, sure thing, I can never lose. You can’t take it away from me! The other part is me knowing the right thing to do, instead of knowing more. A lot of people look to know more instead of be sure of what they do.

If Grant Cardone loses all of his money, he will never go to 0.

This is because he has so much knowledge and assets, and he’s always selling.

Everyone wants to talk about money all the time, we all want to sell better - Stay obsessed. It’s OK to be obsessed!

If you left the world, what would be your legacy, Grant?

That you guys will be talking about me when your 50, 60 years old! Replicate that 50/60 million times, that’d be awesome!

Grant, what’s been your best office so far?

Ok, well, 51,000ft, 600 mph, -80?F outside, going across the sky, most commercial airliners fly at about 40,000ft. There’s no traffic up there! £10,000 of fuel per wing! With internet, it’s cool! Three cameras in the tail, one underneath at the back, one looking down and one at the nose.
