In this special edition of our REACH podcast from Ipsos, Vrinda Bajaj talks to colleagues, Siddharth Karnataki, Harshita Malladi and Suneet Singh Puri, from India who celebrate Diwali and Bandi Chhor Divas.

Diwali symbolises the victory of good over evil; light over darkness and is celebrated widely across the Hindu faith—in India and other parts of the world. Additionally, Sikhs also celebrate during this festive time remembering Bandi Chhor Divas, a commemoration of when their Guru (teacher) returned home after being imprisoned.

The panel discusses the history of the celebration, the stories behind it and what they symbolise and the many different variations surrounding the festive season and how people across different parts of the country and regions celebrate in their own unique ways.
