Everybody communications through behavior. A baby might cry when they are hungry or wet - an adult may yawn when they’re bored at work or in a meeting. All people are communicating something through their behavior every moment of the day, even if they’re unaware.
When we think about this in relation to parenting, the insight is really powerful. A child or teen’s problematic or inappropriate behavior is saying something to us as parents and caregivers. There is always a reason for a specific behavior.
