So, what do you do when your childhood dreams are shattered of becoming a Major League Baseball Player and your hometown team, the Detroit Tigers, release you. George Foussianes picks himself up; Enrolls in the Kellogg Business School at Northwestern; Works his butt off and becomes an all-star on Wallstreet working for Goldman Sachs, HSBC, and JP Morgan for 35 years. Baseball and his commitment for excellence were a great training ground for George in what was the dawn of the Investment Banking World. George, a fantastic guy, and my friend for 45 years shares his family values; how coaches impact your life; how he overcame reconstructive knee surgery his senior year at Michigan; the mental toughness of Minor League Baseball; and his recruitment into the most prestigious firms on Wallstreet. George’s work ethic at Wallstreet started every day at 4:00AM and ended at midnight; it’s where he built his exemplary reputation in investment banking, corporate finance, debt and equity capital markets and eventually selling professional franchises.
