SUMMER CHILDCARE With school out for the summer, many working parents are struggling to find childcare options to help fill the gaps. Across the country, 51% of people in the United States live in a “childcare desert” with a limited or no options for childcare providers, according to the Center for American Progress. One issue contributing to the lack of childcare options is the cost. Nationwide, the average yearly cost of care roast to $11,582 per child last year, according to Child Care Aware of America’s latest annual report.
