As we take a look at our passage today, please keep in mind that what the Holy Spirit has recorded here is for our good. What I would like to point out to you is the healing which takes place throughout this passage. The main subject is indeed the miraculous healing of the sick, but let’s pay attention to how Mark records this for us. In keeping with Mark’s style, I have outlined today’s sermon in terms of action. I will be pointing out different things that the people here did. We are introduced to a young daughter, then we have an older daughter in the middle of the story, and then we close out going back to the first young daughter. I read a study aide earlier this week which called this section a “daughter sandwich”. You might recall from last week these events come on the heels of Jesus doing a great work—casting out the demons called “Legion” from the man whose real name we are not given. But I personally like to think of him as Mr. Freeman. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/james-reed877/support
