Kicking off the weekend with the biggest House Anthems and the Freshest Dance-Pop - It's The Mr Blue Lips Podcast in the mix. After a brief absence, the synth sensations are back! Here's 20 super-charged dance floor anthems of uplifting pop heaven. Huge vocals and even bigger bass-lines, this megamix is a must-have collection of commercial remixes and pop hits. No recent mix-set could go without the new Little Mix release. 'Shout Out To My Ex' is a true modern Pop anthem. It's stripped down production lends itself perfectly to todays dance floors. With sing-a-long lyrics and catchy hooks, it's one to be played over and over. It was my most requested track when I DJ'd last week. 'Sing' by Jackie 'O' is a classic dance floor filler. Well over a decade old, it still manages to get the dance floor jumping. It's a classic trance take on the original by Brit-Pop band Travis and has been a firm favourite of mine for years! A new release and another cover of an old acoustic track is the Ross Alexander remix of 'Things Can Only Get Better' by Mopo. Whenever I hear this I can't help but think of the 1997 UK general election (those in the Britain and old enough to remember will understand!). How sad am I?! Anyway, it's a great mix and certainly worthy of including. The F9 mix of Sophie Ellis-Bextor's 'Crystallise' is a weird blend of trance and Piano House that works perfectly. Some of you will know F9 is in fact a pseudonym for the Freemasons. Another Freemasons remix included is their anthemic production of 'Cryin' Over You' by Nightcrawlers. If anyone is in or close to Manchester, come to New York, New York bar in Manchester's Gay Village on Friday 2nd December. I'll be DJing, playing all the latest and greatest pop hits. 8pm until 4am.
