Pop Art Painter Jamie Roxx (www.JamieRoxx.us) welcomes Robert Rooke (Rock) to the Show! www.robertrookemusic.com Robert James Rooke was born on October 6, 1993 in Edmonton Alberta. He then moved, with his family, to Calgary Alberta at the age of 3. Robert was exposed to music at a very young age and started playing bass guitar at 11 years old. Around this same time he started to write lyrics and experiment with simple chords on the guitar and became influenced by the music of Jack Johnson. He started to sing soon after and ended up winning a local competition “Chestermere Idol” with an original song at the age of 13. But it wasn’t until he was about 15 and after hearing Stevie Ray Vaughan’s version of “Little Wing” that his passion for the electric guitar was born. Robert then became interested in all styles of guitar and after high school, attended Mount Royal University where he obtained his diploma in Jazz Performance. In the summer of 2015 Robert attended Musicians Institute in Hollywood, California Media Inquiries: Anna Castle Kore PR www.korepr.com
