Anjali, a curious three-year-old, learns about Diwali, the Festival of Lights, from her family. She helps prepare for the festival by lighting diyas (oil lamps) and drawing rangoli designs on the ground. On Diwali evening, Anjali and her family celebrate with new clothes, delicious food, gifts, and sweets.
While Anjali enjoys the festivities, she is also bothered by a bully named Raj. One day, she recalls the story of Rama, who stood up to the bully Ravana. Inspired by Rama, Anjali and her friends confront Raj and tell him to stop being mean. Raj is surprised but realizes he would lose his friends if he continued to bully them. He apologizes and becomes Anjali's friend.
Anjali learns that the best way to defeat evil is by being brave and strong, and that Diwali is a time for everyone to come together and celebrate the good in the world.

Good night dear friends, and have the loveliest of dreams!
