The Award-Winning Fab Lab Kä Träre belongs to the Distance State University of Costa Rica and is the only university in the country that has a model of distance learning whose main objective is to democratise higher education. In this podcast you'll learn how the Fab Lab develops projects in which Arduino and Raspberry Pi Kits are delivered to students as support tools in their courses. Case uses discussed include programming pianos to help children learn, affordable lightboxes to identify visual learning difficulties, and delivery of technological devices to students with difficult socio-economic situations.
