About the author (2013)

Kenny Sills was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri and attended South East Missouri State University where he studied Creative Writing as well as Philosophy and Theology. During his college life, he began studying martial arts in his free time under Julian Sims. After college, he moved to Houston Texas where he furthered his martial arts education under Tim Mousel for five years. Kenny moved back to St. Louis in 1999 after meeting his future wife, Syndi Bruchesky, on a family vacation to Disney World in Florida. Back in St. Louis, he became a martial arts instructor to kids and young adults with both physical and mental disabilities. Today Kenny owns his own martial arts studio; 'Ohana Martial Arts' which is located in Maryland Heights, MO. Beside teaching disabled individuals, he also teaches able bodied kids and adults.
