Today’s episode discusses the interview process and what you can expect when applying for an IT position. Brad and Bobby discuss the changing IT landscape, as well as how you can interview well, both as a candidate and as an employer. Knowing your strengths and weaknesses will help create a more comfortable environment for you during the interview process. Tune into this week’s episode to find out more about the interview process within tech companies!

“When someone is asked to tell a little bit about themself, should they go off and tell their whole biography about how they started off as a small child in the backwoods of Canada. Absolutely not. I don’t want to know all about that. I don’t have time for that, neither does any hiring manager. But from that standpoint, when I ask that question, I do want to know, I am judging a candidate’s openness and ability to communicate with me. So I’m looking at that question as just an open-ended question to see if they can communicate.”

Brad Anderson, CEO of TechBridge, a Salt Lake City IT staffing company, and Bobby Glen James, Author, Speaker, and founder of BoTecha IT Support discuss the interview process in IT companies and what you should expect both as a potential candidate and as a hiring manager. Are you nervous about the IT interview process? Hear what these tech experts have to say on the subject in this week’s episode of the New IT podcast, “In The Hot Seat”
