Disc Golf is one of the fastest growing sports in the world, experiencing 33% growth from 2019 to 2020 alone. The sport has online live and delayed coverage, corporate sponsorships for tournaments and professionals, and ESPN is also getting in on the action. Equipment is flying off the shelves at local sporting good stores and 3+ new courses are built every day around the world!
So, where did this all start? Today we are joined by disc golf legend Elaine King. Elaine is a 5 time women's World Disc Golf Champion, a member of the disc golf Hall of Fame with 299 career tournament wins, and has been playing disc golf since 1983 (and still going). We discuss the history and evolution of disc golf, Elaine's own disc golf journey, and where the sport is heading in the future.
