I had a great chat with Mike Leavitt in Seattle. Mike is a pop artist and sculptor. His work includes painting, sculpture, design and satire, lots of Satire. He has had more than 126 exhibitions around the world and sculpted over 400 figures. In his own words he is a, “38-year-old making dolls in his basement, articulating the voice of a generation in need of action heroes.” We talk about, virtual reality, the joys of angle grinding, polite stalking, and a lot more . . .
Here are the main points of what we talk about:
- Vashon Island,
- King cuts exhibition,
- Spike Lee,
- Walt Disney,
- Creative process,
- Painting,
- 3D printing,
- Virtual and Augmented reality,
- Rotocasting,
- Bernie Sanders doll on Kickstarter,
- Cake tops,
- Donald Trump,
- Current artistic challenges,
