As we continue into the second quater of the year, we are kicking it off with the story of David and Nathan: The question "What is the state of your heart?" is deeply relevant here. Before Nathan's confrontation, David's heart was clouded with deceit and sin. He had allowed his desires and power to lead him into grave wrongdoing. This passage highlights the importance of self-reflection and accountability. David's immediate response to Nathan's parable shows that he was quick to judge others but blind to his own faults.
