๐Ÿ™Žโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿ“ˆ๐Ÿ‡ฒ๐Ÿ‡ฝโžก๏ธ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ฆGrowing up in Guadalajara, Mexico, the most beautiful city in the world as Ruben claims, he started his journey towards music, when he missed out on one semester of uni, and just decided to try and produce a song on a beat he downloaded from YouTube. Within a short time, he managed to get a couple thousand clicks, without putting any effort into marketing or other actions to promote his work. Through a friend's advice, he got to Canada, where he was in an environment of artists, which inspired him to produce and learn about music for 7 months there. Back in his hometown, he received great feedback for his work, as he kept on developing.
โฎ‘๐Ÿ‡ฒ๐Ÿ‡ฝ๐ŸŽŠ๐ŸŽงโžก๏ธ๐Ÿ‡ง๐Ÿ‡ทWhen it was about time to come back, he set up an event, where he was performing live, in front of 600 people as a first big gig, and once again the feedback was great. After two months of being back home, a friend from Brazil, which he met in Canada invited him over to stay with him, and to fulfill his dream of visiting Brazil. Once he got there, he decided to go with the flow and got to know himself a lot more by reading and living life on his own terms in a different environment for 6 more months. Along with that, he produced a couple more songs with a Brazilian association.
๐Ÿ‡ง๐Ÿ‡ทโžก๏ธ๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡ง๐Ÿ‡ดโ›บAfter being there and getting closer to himself, he felt the urge to go on to travel more through South America and went on through Bolivia, Peru, and other countries. Travelling never meant staying in hotels, but rather camping in the streets, or just living off the bare minimum, which he needed. Experiencing those moments he went on to name the feeling of them โ€žVanillaโ€œ -the bare minimum you need to call a bed a bed, or a chair a chair. All of those moments have taught him, that traveling makes him see the world through the eyes of a little kid.
๐Ÿงณ๐Ÿšถโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿ™‡โ€โ™‚๏ธWhile continuing his journey, he got to know even more about himself, society, and its concepts, and worked through the following, amazing questions with a clarity, he never experienced before.
โ“๐Ÿคฏ๐Ÿค”๐Ÿ˜‡How did the traveling change him? How did he get the balls to go into the unknown, with nothing, but the bare minimum? How did things come together? How did he experience not seeing anybody for a week and being in constant conversations with himself? What does love mean, apart from the cultural concepts, that are put upon it? How did his journey impact his music, his message? How was he able to join back into society, while keeping his newfound clarity?
๐Ÿ””๐Ÿ‘€๐Ÿ”€If any of those questions ring a bell in you, or create a curiosity, then this is definitely the right podcast, as it shares so much wisdom and clarity. Even more, topics are being touched on in this interview, but it is not even possible to put all of them into this description, as the interview does just such a great job of shifting your perspective through the experience of Ruben.
