πŸŽ™πŸ—£πŸ‡ΏπŸ‡¦πŸ˜Today's interview partner is Sizwe Madzeni Nyanga from a small township east of Johannesburg South Africa. His passion is coming up with creative ideas to solve personal and communal challenges.

πŸ›€πŸ«πŸ€”βž‘οΈπŸŽ¨His journey started back in high school when he was studying visual arts and learned about what’s possible. Having that experience and coming back to his hometown he really felt that there were no art centers or other cultural amenities where artists could meet and exchange their ideas. Having finished Highschool he wanted to change that, and contribute in a way of community activism to provide places, that could offer that exchange.

πŸ“ˆπŸ‘©β€πŸŽ¨πŸ‘¨β€πŸŽ¨πŸ πŸ–ΌThis effort developed into a movement called β€žlegalize artsβ€œ, and together they managed to arrange a House from a friend who was staying alone, which then was turned into an art center called β€žart-hubβ€œ. Once it was established exhibitions and exchanges were continuously offered. Further on they developed a strategy to invite tourists to visit those towns, to be able to experience the rich culture.

β³πŸ—“πŸŽ“πŸ–ŒAfter 4 years of working on those projects, he has found an opportunity in an art-, and advertisement-school for young creative people. This education helped him to learn the strategy and proper technical implementation of marketing means. Having finished with a major in multimedia, he discovered that this might no be the thing he wants to work in.

πŸ”ŽπŸ‘πŸ›€πŸ‘€βž‘οΈπŸ‡²πŸ‡ΌTo find out more about where he wants to go in life, he decided to backpack to Malawi and to create a body of work. Based on those experiences he wrote a book about his journey. With only 130 USD support he decided that he will be able to pursue his dream of arts, instead of giving in to his parents' idea, of becoming a doctor or lawyer.

πŸ€”β“πŸŽ€Further in this episode, we go into the following topics:

-πŸ’ͺπŸ‘β€πŸ—¨πŸ“ˆThe power of imagination

-πŸ”πŸ˜°βž‘οΈπŸŽ΅πŸŽ¨The role of worry in daily life, and the importance of arts, and music

-πŸŽ’πŸšΆβ€β™‚οΈπŸŽThe cultural experience of backpacking

-πŸ‘πŸ€πŸ‘₯The help of others during his journey

-πŸ™‡β€β™‚οΈπŸ’‘πŸ›€πŸ—ΊThe biggest realization during his journey

-β†ͺ️πŸ₯³The turning point to get happy

-πŸ‘ŽπŸ‘‰πŸ‘₯The negative effect of social norms

-πŸ€”πŸ’ΈπŸ†“How he wants to set up his financial freedom

-πŸ§˜β€β™‚οΈβž‘οΈπŸ‘πŸ›£How can we center ourselves to have a clear vision of our path

πŸŽ™πŸŽ§πŸ‘πŸŒπŸ‘β€πŸ—¨βž‘οΈπŸ’This interview once again resembles a unique perspective, which is quite different from our western views. Bearing that thought in mind, it shows you what is possible once you channel your imagination into action. If you feel like things are just not going your way lately, then this is probably a good inspiration for you.

πŸ˜ŠπŸ—“πŸ™πŸ‘₯πŸ”ŽπŸ‘€Once again, we wish you a great Sunday and a satisfying week. Thank you for listening to the podcast, together we can find ourselves.
