Dr. Gene Moore’s highlights for the October 2014 issue include: Dr. Wayne Lee and colleagues from the University of California San Francisco at East Bay providing an interesting cost analysis, Dr. Nicholas Caputo and associates from the Lincoln Health Center in the Bronx who undertook a systematic literature review to address the same question; Dr. Clay Burlew and colleagues from Denver Health/University of Colorado with a study objective to define the yield of repeat CTA at 7-10 days for blunt carotid and vertebral injuries; Dr. Paul Stahler et al from Hennepin County with an important reminder for us all: the 2006 Uniform Anatomic Gift Act; and finally, Dr. Andrea Hill and colleagues from the Sunnybrook Health Center in Toronto with an analysis of age-related trends in severe injury.
