「什麼是爵士樂？」這其實一直是一個大哉問，爵士樂創造的特質，讓它可以有很大的空間與各種不同類型的音樂做結合。這集【爵邊】我們邀請到了爵士鋼琴家許郁瑛，貝斯手程杰，以及紀錄片導演楊偉新，來和大家一起聊聊他們這幾年來在研究的電子合成音樂的這個project。電子合成音樂為什麼需要跟爵士樂結合？他們怎麼會有這樣的起心動念？而在結合的過程中又經歷了什麼挑戰？
許多音樂創作都是樂手自己在幕後嘔心瀝血之後再呈現到舞台上給觀眾，可是那些創作的過程，往往都沒有被紀錄起來，這次《In the Cave》，許郁瑛特別請到導演楊偉新，把這個project的許多創作過程都紀錄起來，我們也很開心能夠請到楊偉新導演，和大家聊聊做這支音樂紀錄片的過程，以及電影產業與音樂產業之間的關係。
