The tithe is a mandated giving of one-tenth (10%) of one’s income, honoring God as first priority and supporting the work of ministry and the Levites under the Old Testament law. Today they focus on Offering. Offerings, however, are voluntary gifts given beyond the tithe, motivated by generosity and personal conviction. While tithes have a set amount and purpose, offerings are flexible in amount and used for broader acts of worship, charity, and mission.
