J1ST 104: The Five Parts of a Devotion to Jesus and His Heart
Manage episode 358526880 series 1437533
Let’s dive deep into the five key parts of a devotion to Jesus and His Most Sacred Heart. As outlined in this episode, these parts are:
Rejection of Sin
Faith in Jesus
Desire to Love Jesus
Development of the Interior Life
Total (even Reckless) Trust in God
In this episode I look at each of these parts and investigate my own need to be more fully converted. Do I protect myself from even the possibility of sin? Do I believe that Jesus’ will for my life is better than my own will? Do I come close to Jesus desiring only to receive His love? Do I have as much going on spiritually on the inside as I do on the outside? And, am I willing to GET OUT OF THE BOAT and trust that God will allow me to stand on the waves?
All of this is taken from our new book, Write Our Name on Your Heart, 33 Day Preparation for Consecration to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. This retreat will prepare your family to be consecrated to Jesus and His Most Sacred Heart.
We have limited copies, but you can get one for your family here: https://shop.catholicsprouts.com/products/consecration-to-the-sacred-heart-of-jesus-33-day-preparation-for-families
