Today’s discussion will equip you to discuss marriage and same-sex marriage with your children. Too often we think that Homosexuality and (Same-Sex) Marriage are the same topic, but they are not. Here are some important points to keep in mind as you discuss (Same-Sex) Marriage:

• Marriage is a covenant relationship between a man and a woman ordered toward the creation of children and formation of a family.

• Marriage benefits society because the family is the best place to raise a healthy and productive next generation.

• The Church and the World have very different definitions of marriage, and we need to make sure we have the same understanding of marriage when we begin to debate with someone. The World teaches that marriage is nothing more than a relationship based on good feelings that benefits both parties.

• Marriage was created by God and blessed by Jesus at the Wedding Feast in Cana.
