On this episode of Kaleidoscope Kids, you'll hear about Harmony Week and the diverse people that make up Australia. Here are our segments:
1:43 Global Voices
You'll hear from teachers and students speaking about their backgrounds. You also get to hear content in Chinese and German.
Mandarin/Cantonese Translation:
I think the celebration of Harmony Day is great. In this event, in this day, we have the opportunity to celebrate our own country, nation, and culture. We can communicate with other nations and cultures, learn, understand each other, and help each other. This is a perfect celebration. I also speak Cantonese at home. In my home, it's a multi-language environment. In Australia, we have many opportunities to learn about their culture and languages. Harmony Day is a really great event for all!
7:11 Community Connections
In this segment, you'll hear from our Indigenous friends at Goodooga School who visited students at IGS last week.
13:58 Cultural Exchange
Hear from Elly who came out on exchange from Germany and worked here at IGS.
