On a quiet spot in the 10th century BC, an obscure young man from the sheep fields of a backwater nation full of bickering tribes cut off the head of a giant, "so that all the earth would know there is a God in Israel."
A few decades later, he sat on the throne of a mighty empire. The enemy who had tormented his people for centuries now cowered in its cities on the coast of the Great Sea and paid him tribute. The mighty Philistines would disappear into mists of history, while his descendants remain to this day.
One descendant in particular would become the King of Kings.
