In this podcast conversation, former Arizona Senate President Steve Yarbrough and I discuss the importance of school choice as a civil rights issue. He is described as the architect of school choice and has been a leader in the movement for many years. Steve explains that school choice is beneficial for students and believes that the 14th Amendment will eventually require parents to have the right to choose where their child's education funds go. We review the success of school choice programs in Arizona, such as the Empowerment Scholarship Account (ESA) and scholarship tax credits. Steve also addresses the opposition from teachers unions and politicians nationwide. Steve discusses the victories in the United States Supreme Court and believes that the litigation may finally be over once and for all.
