أتيني، اشتهرت باستضافتها لفعالية مفروش بين الأعوام 2012 و 2015. مفروش هو فعالية ثقافية واجتماعية لبيع وتبادل الكتب المستعملة والجديدة، مصحوبة بحفلات موسيقية.
كجزء من اهتمامنا "بتوثيق تاريخ وروايات المكان" في الخرطوم. قمنا بمقابلة محمد أبو العلا، أحد أفراد أسرة أبو العلا المالكة لمبانى أبو العلا التجارية.
فى مقابلتة معنا حكى لنا أبو العلا عن تاريخ أتيني، طبيعة الأنشطة التي كانت تقام فيها، وكيف تغيرت عبر الزمن.
Atine, An iconic square in Khartoum, Known for hosting Mafroosh between 2012 and 2015. Mafroosh is a cultural and social event for selling and exchanging books, accompanied by small musical events. As part of our interest in “Documenting Spatial Narratives” in Khartoum. We interviewed Mohammed Abouelila, a member of Abu El-Ela family that owns the Abu El-Ela commercial building. Abouelila walks us through the history of Atine, the nature of activities held in the space, and how it has changed through time.
