Also known as The ‘Whiskey Horror’ of Christmas, it was during the Christmas season in 1919 when primarily men in Connecticut and Western MA started falling deathly ill. Soon, the hospitals and emergency rooms were overflowing with patients in pain. Many were pronounced dead on arrival.
