Is there a day that you can recall, when you realised you had 'Daddy issues?'
For many that is exactly what happens.
Whether your dad was present or not.
And sometimes fathers that are present, are still not present!
Or maybe they just don't know how to fill the role a father should walk in.
Especially as daughters, there is something about the love of a Father that validates.
A good father teaches girls what real love and protection looks like from a man.
For the sons a good father teaches them, ideally, what a good man of integrity looks like.
Often in the absence of a Father's love and covering, young women and men, find themselves walking in rebellion...
Their person is shaped from a soul that is wounded because of 'fatherlessness'.
Here are some more clues; purposelessness, feeling like you never belong, you never feel loved.
You seek approval and validation from others.
Competitiveness, perfectionism, insecurity, difficulty submitting to male authority... Rebellion, anger...
Have you ever considered this - how you relate to your earthly Father speaks to how you relate with your heavenly Father?
We may be saved, but are there things in our relationship with God that we need to acknowledge, so we can be healed?
