On this edition of Klahr & Kompany, Michael kicks off 4th of July weekend talking the state of baseball. With exception of Michael's first guest, we hear from people- either presently in the game or past, about what needs to change or what change has been an issue in the game.

Up first, Michael is joined by longtime fan & Bronco historian, Bruce Marshall, who tells us about the legend of the late-great Marlin Briscoe, who broke the color barrier as pro-football's first African-American QB.

Next is top-10 sports writer in the nation Mark Kiszla & former writer Jimmy Armstrong join Michael to talk about if the city of Denver will have another parade, either the Nuggets, Broncos and/or Rockies, or will the Avalanche lap those teams and have another? The fellas discuss.

Batting third is former Dodgers' GM and now correspondent for the Field of Dreams, Dan Evans who joins Michael to discuss how strong the game of baseball is today and at which levels. Plus, what needs to change for the better in the MLB and how?

Rounding out the first hour is Avery Griggs, Rockies' assistant of player development & pro scouting, joins Michael, to discuss a woman's point of view of what drew her to the game of baseball and also what needs to be updated by her generation to the good ole game to keep young viewers attracted and to make it better!
