Dr. Wesley Ingram has spent over 15 years in the petroleum industry. During this time, he has developed professional expertise in subsurface analysis covering many disciplines including geological and engineering evaluation of subsurface formations along with their potential for economical reserves of oil and gas. He worked in the oil-service industry as a subject matter expert as well as for operators as an exploration Geologist and Petrophysicist involved with drilling and producing oil and gas reserves. Currently, Dr. Ingram has his own consulting company, and provides specialized subsurface expertise to smaller oil and gas companies - specific services and expertise includes: (1) Petrophysics, and log analysis, (2) reservoir characterization, (3) log-based oil/gas reserves, (4) well steering, (5) geochemistry; (6) core testing and analysis programs with interpretation. Prior to entering the Petroleum industry, Dr. Ingram studied geological sciences at Florida State University where he obtained his B.Sc. and M.Sc., for his master’s he focused on marine
geology and biostratigraphy, as well as developed an interest in paleoclimatology. He then attended and received his Ph.D. from the University of North Carolina where he studied biogeochemistry, geochemistry and marine geology, which continued his interest in past climates and deep-time carbon cycles. His dissertation involved study of marine gas-hydrate deposits and petroleum seeps along the deep-water Gulf of Mexico continental slope.
