My next guest is someone I’ve had the privilege of growing up with from my childhood, through to adulthood. Karlie Stewart is a deadly young woman that I’ve looked up to for so many reasons. I've admired her ability to overcome any obstacle that is put in front of her, her ability to be a leader for her community, her amazing talent as an artist and so much more! Tune in and hear us yarn about our experiences growing up and the things we appreciate most looking back.
About Karlie Stewart

Karlie is a Wandi Wandian Woman from Yuin Country on the South Coast of New South Wales. She lived in Nowra throughout her childhood and spent time around the Nowra, Wreck Bay and Jerrinja Aboriginal communities with her family. Since 10 years old, Karlie has lived on Bidjigal land, South East Sydney, where we grew up together.

In early 2019, Karlie graduated with an Honours in Social Work from the University of New South Wales and has since worked at Weave Youth & Community Services in many roles, and most recently employed as their Aboriginal Healing Program Manager .

Karlie has also been a member of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Healing Foundations' Interim Youth Advisory Group, and currently sits on the executive committee of Just Reinvest NSW.
