It can be tough to be a home buyer in a multiple offer situation. So, how can you stand out to make your offer more desirable?

My first piece of advice is to get pre-qualified for a mortgage loan. This gives the seller a sense of security because you have proven that you can purchase the home. It makes you nearly equal with a cash buyer, but this also allows you to find out what you can afford to purchase. Most sellers won’t even look at an offer without a pre-qualification.

Another good thing to do is put down 20% on a home, or put a larger amount of earnest money down. Not everyone can afford to do this, but if you have the financial clout, I would recommend it.

It’s also not a good idea to make an offer with a lot of contingencies. You want your offer clean, and sellers don’t like to muddle around with contingent offers. You can consult with me on how to make the cleanest and most attractive offer.

If you want more advice on how to make the best offer and win the home of your dreams, then don’t hesitate to reach out to me!
